Decorating for Christmas

Happy Holidays, Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, and Happy Kwanzaa season to you all! Whatever you celebrate, make it lovely and warm and cozy.

We got started this weekend with going to buy a Christmas Tree. We are traditionalists and always buy a real Fir Tree because we love the smell and it adds to the wonderful smells of Christmas in our home. We just bought a small 3-4 foot tree this year since we will be gone for a large chunk of the holidays on our trip to the west, but we still wanted the Spirit of Christmas to be in our home while we are here. My 2 year old and I decorated together...

This is what happens when you have a 2 year old helper...you end up with 4 ornaments on one limb of the Christmas Tree...

but in the end, it always turns out lovely...I love to sit in the living room on a dark night, sipping hot chocolate, cuddled in a blanket with my sweetie and watching old Christmas Classic movies with the white lights of the tree just blazing. Its a beautiful thing.

This holiday season, no matter what you celebrate, remember to celebrate the important things like good friends, family, health, and the miracles of life. We see them every day, we probably just do not realize it.

May your days be merry and bright!

Make it a beautiful season!
